Lucy-Liu

Lucy Liu, an American voice actress producer director and singer, is also a talented actor. A beautiful, smart and talented actress, she's a great example to Asian actors aspiring to be big stars in Hollywood. An array of highly successful initial appearances in popular television series made her well-known for her part in the character in Ally McBeal, where she appeared as Ling Woo. In the wake of her fame, she got important roles in Shanghai Noon (1998) and Charlie's Angels (2000). She delivered a stunning performance in the role of Japanese criminal O-Ren Ishii (Quentin Tarantino) in Kill Bill Volume 1 by Quentin Tarantino. In the same time frame, she played the lead in a few flops at the box office such as Rise: Blood Hunter. She then began to voice characters from animated films like Kung Fu Panda or Tinker Bell. Mia Mason, in Cashmere Mafia and other small-screen parts, did not achieve much success. Southland, a critically acclaimed series of crime dramas that had Liu playing recurring roles, helped her reestablish her status as a performer. Liu picks her roles wisely to ensure she is not a victim of this competitive industry. While she's been embracing her heritage, she hasn't allowed it to restrict her artistic abilities.
